For today's Yoga Strong Minute I want to share with you one of my favorite neck stretches of all time: The Neck Hammock

If you’ve ever said:

“My neck feels tight all the time.”
“I carry stress right here.” (👆 cue hand to upper trap)
“I just want someone to pull my head off… in a good way.”

You're going to love this.

The Neck Hammock is one of my favorite quick tricks to get DIY neck traction — a gentle, supported stretch using a yoga strap.

It creates space, stretches your hamstrings, decompresses the cervical spine, and is relaxing.


🔧 What You Need:

  • A yoga strap (ideally 8 or 10 foot)

  • A few quiet minutes

This isn’t something I teach a ton although I do occasionally in my Yoga Massage classes — but it’s one of those hidden gems that can change how your neck feels all day long.
