Beginner Yoga 8-Week Series

Have you wanted to try yoga but are too nervous or intimidated to go to a group class? This 8-week series is designed for brand-new beginner yoga students and people wanting to review the basics.

In this series, you'll learn the basics in a non-judgmental space with a group of students in the same boat as you. After completing this series, you'll feel confident attending future group yoga classes because you'll know the lingo, basic poses, any modifications that best suit you, how to use the props, and more.

This series begins Saturday, January 3rd at 3 PM and runs through Saturday, February 21st.

Included in this series is a 15-minute initial phone consult with Samantha as well as an ending 15-minute consult. This will help us learn more about your goals, injuries, etc. and provide you with clear next steps when you finish.

Yoga Marathon: 2.5-HOUR PRACTICE

Join Samantha for a Yoga Marathon! This class will meld our Yoga Strong, Yoga Flow, & Yoga Massage practices for one strong, feel-good flow. We will also have time to reflect on 2025 and establish our intentions and goals for the new year.

Yoga Strong (IN-PERSON)

Yoga Strong is a great entry into strength training while getting the stretching and relaxation benefits of yoga. It’s also an excellent choice if you’re familiar with strength training and want the added benefits of mobility and stretching.

Yoga Strong classes are more vigorous than other classes but can be adapted to the students level and goals. You will always be given options to go at your own pace, choose a lighter weight, or lessen your range of motion in a movement.

Each class will offer full body strength training through creative and mindful yoga sequences. Each class will have at least one lower body focused exercise and one upper body focused exercise that you repeat with stretching and yoga poses woven throughout.

Come enjoy the best of both worlds at Yoga Strong!

Level 1 Flow (IN-PERSON)

Level 1 is a great starting point if you are new to yoga. It’s also an excellent choice if you’re looking for an active flow that’s accessible to everyone who is confident coming up and down from the mat. Our Instructors fully explain the poses and we offer options for you to dial up the challenge or dial back the intensity, based on what you’re observing in your body in each moment.

These classes give you foundational instructions to poses especially common warm up movements, simple strengthening exercises, and standing poses. We won’t do any complicated shapes or very much weight-bearing in the arms. We build in basic breath techniques, short moments of mindfulness or meditation, and bits of philosophy for a well-rounded practice.

Level 2 Flow (IN-PERSON)

This class builds on the teachings from Level 1. More difficult standing and balancing poses are introduced as well as preparatory poses for more upper body demanding poses.

Poses that strengthen the shoulders and the upper body are more of a focus than in Level 1. You’ll learn more breathing techniques and continue to refine poses with more subtle cueing.

As in Level 1, your teacher will offer options for you to dial up the challenge or dial back the intensity, based on what you’re observing in your body at each moment. Don't let the label of "level 2" scare you. If you've been doing yoga for a while, you'll have options and can modify. This will be a great class to challenge yourself!

Yoga Massage (IN-PERSON)

Yoga Massage is a great class for students new to yoga or who want a class to stretch and roll sore muscles. This class is a great choice if you’re wanting more of a chill, stretchy, and relaxing class. Although this is one of our most gentle classes, there will always be opportunities to add more challenges throughout the class.

You’ll spend the first thirty minutes practicing various self-massage techniques using Yoga Tune-up balls followed by a gentle flow class to move the areas we loosened up. You’ll leave feeling relaxed, less tense, and more energized thanks to this class.

You can use your membership or 10 class pass on this class. If you choose to do a single drop-in, the cost is $28.

Roll & Restore (IN-PERSON)

Roll & Restore is the perfect class for students wanting a more gentle, slow, and feel-good practice. The first thirty minutes includes self-massage techniques using Yoga Tune-Up balls while the last half of class includes long held restorative yoga postures using lots of props.

You can expect to hold certain stretches and poses for 2-5 minutes during the “restore” portion of class. This is the epitome of a stress melting, feel good class with the blend of myofascial release and restorative yoga.

You can use your membership or 10 class pass on this class. If you choose to do a single drop-in, the cost is $28.

Yoga Strong Express is an abbreviated version of our signature Yoga Strong class that combines traditional yoga and strength training. You can expect fewer sets of strength work in this class but you'll still get a great practice in!

Yoga Strong 101 - An 8-Week Series

Are you ready to start including strength training into your routine but are intimidated or nervous? Our new Yoga Strong 101 series is a great entry into strength training while getting the stretching and relaxation benefits of yoga.

In Yoga Strong 101, you'll learn the basic strength movements that we teach in our signature Yoga Strong classes but at a slower pace with more instructions and repetition.

You will always be given options to go at your own pace, choose a lighter weight, or lessen your range of motion in a movement.

Each class will offer full body strength training through creative and mindful yoga sequences. Each class will have at least one lower body focused exercise and one upper body focused exercise that you repeat with stretching and yoga poses woven throughout.

By the end of this eight week series, you'll feel confident going into any of our Yoga Strong classes.

This series begins Saturday, February 28th at 4:30 PM and runs through Saturday, April 18th.

Included in this series is a 15-minute onboarding at the studio with our staff to help us learn more about your goals, injuries, etc. Also included is an ending 15-minute consult to help provide you with clear next steps.
