Yoga Strong Minute #10: Consistency > Novelty + A Yoga Massage Video
Samantha Harrison | OCT 30, 2025
“Consistency is more important than intensity.”
— James Clear
A couple of weeks ago, while I was away at a business workshop, the speaker said something that stuck with me:
“One of the biggest pitfalls for business owners is constantly hopping from one idea to the next instead of staying consistent with the thing that’s already working.”
It's called shiny object syndrome and we do the same thing with our movement practice.
We try a new workout, a new app, a new studio — and at first it’s exciting. It’s novel. It challenges us in new ways.
But then… it becomes familiar. Routine. Maybe even a little boring.
And suddenly, we wonder if the grass might be greener somewhere else.
And the results you really want?
They come from sticking with something long enough to grow roots.
Consistency beats novelty every time.
So if you’re a current member: Keep going. You’re doing the real work. If you get out of the habit, don't beat yourself up. Just get back into your routine as soon as you can.
And if you’ve been jumping from one thing to the next — we get it.
But maybe now’s the time to try something that lasts.
🧘♀️ Our next beginner yoga series starts Sunday, September 14th at 6:30 PM. Come build something real with us.
With you for the long haul,
Samantha
P.S. You probably saw we had to cancel the Yoga Massage class today due to construction for the expansion of the studio. This should be the last closure that we have and I appreciate your patience. I promise it'll be worth it!
To try to make up for it, I wanted to share two short Yoga Massage videos you can do at home.
